About Mill Creek Acres
Thanks for visiting us on the web and taking the time to learn a little more about us. We currently sell breeding stock, market animals, and show wethers. On our farm we have approximately 25 head of full blood Boer does, 25 head of commercial/percentage Boers, and full blood billies as well as market wethers.
We sell our 4-H/FFA market wethers locally and throughout Iowa and the tri-state area. Our goats have a reputation for winning at our county fair (taking many champion placements these past few years) and have consistently placed high at the Iowa State Fair, the Iowa Meat Goat Fall Show, and the Tall Corn Meat Goat Show.
Our Breeding Group
Here at Mill Creek Acres our Boers have champion bloodlines. For example, our original billy, TF’s General, is the son of two enobled champions that won shows in Indiana and Illinois in recent years (TF's Kara Enobled Champion/NSA's Master Macho Enobled Champion). We are using Mill Creek Acres Petey, a son of General, as one of breeding bucks for the 2010 breeding season. We also will be using breeding billies from a Robinson’s Sandy Creek Acres, Hawkeye, Iowa for the 2010 kid crop. These are powerful and sound genetics.
Meet the Heisman….our latest excitement is our up & coming billy from our 2008 kid crop, Mill Creek Acres Heisman. Heisman is sired by ANR Wide Load, 2008 ABGA National Grand Champion Buck. His dam, TF’s 190 is the daughter TF’s Kayey, an Enobled champion and the granddaughter of Hill Country Kasha, a fabulous doe known for her excellent milking ability and for being exceptionally square. We can’t wait to stir up the genetics with this awesome billy!
In addition, we have several 3-year old daughters of enobled champions, including some ET does, that will be having kids next January and February, just right for the show wether season.
Many of our bloodlines go back to Thomas Farms, Bloomington, IL and Hill Country Farms, TN. Our goats have pedigrees leading back to well known sires such as Mojo Magic, Matango, and Valentino.
